Flying Fish Roe or "Tobiko" in Japanese is most recognised for being used to prepare specific varieties of sushi. After harvesting, Tobiko farmers salt-cure the eggs and store them for consumption, giving them a light salty and sweet flavour. This pack of flying fish roe contains 500g of the freshest and most delicious roe.
Tobiko's mild, salty flavour goes well with a wide range of Japanese foods. It's more durable than other varieties of roe, retaining its shape and flavour when frozen, thawed, or combined into sauces and dishes.
