Cooked Medium QLD Blue Swimmer Crabs per kg (Frozen)
The flavour of blue swimmer crab is mild, sweet, and nutty. It is firm, juicy, and equally textured (claw meat is firmer than that found in body and legs). Some individuals prefer the stronger-tasting internal organs, sometimes known as "mustard" or "brown meat."
Do not recook cooked swimmer crabs. Pick out the meat and eat with your favourite sauce. You can use it in salads, and sandwiches, as a garnish for soups, or in dishes where it is just gently warmed, such as pasta, risotto, crab cakes, and omelets.
