Fresh Whole Murray Cod 1.2kg
This largest Australian freshwater fish is one of Australia's favourites. They are harvested in the Murray Darling Basin in south-eastern Australia provided this fatty, juicy, and rich fish. Murray Cod (also known as Rock Cod or Blue Cod) is known for its creamy, mild flavour and dazzling white flesh with a broad flake and few bones. While its texture is delicate, its high-fat content and thick skin make it withstand cooking well, even if you mistakenly overcook it.
You can cook Murray Cod in a variety of ways - steam, barbecue, pan-fry, grill and poach. The firm flesh can be cubed for kebabs and holds together well in soups, curries, and casseroles. Spices like chilli, coriander, fish sauce, garlic, ginger, green onions, lemon, lime, mirin, olive oil, olives, sesame oil, soy sauce, tomatoes are all good combinations to this fish.
